Besides the regularly-scheduled sessions at which we listen to and discuss
Teaching Company lectures on science, we take advantage of scientifically
interesting places to travel, of which there are many nearby. Our excursions
have included the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, the Rose Center for Earth
and Space of the American Museum of Natural History, the Meadowlands
Environmental Center and the Department of Biology at William Paterson University,
among many others. Several of our members have professional backgrounds in science
or technology and many lack the background, but all possess the interest; they
come together monthly to keep up with developments in the world of science. If
you are interested in enjoying the process of exercising your brain cells, send us a contact email and we'll get back to you.
